The business end of the NGCon December 1, 2012
It’s entirely apt that the 8th hole of the Gary Player Country Club be sponsored by Sun International’s latest hotel, The Maslow, during this week’s Nedbank Golf Challenge.
After all, where else would you choose to market a 4-star business hotel than on the business end of this golf course.
If the other 17 holes at the Gary Player Country Club are the office, the 450-metre stroke 1 8th is definitely the boardroom. It always ranks as the toughest hole for the professionals during the Nedbank Golf Challenge. “One of the best holes in golf,” says Ernie Els.
But, much like The Maslow’s vision of balancing work and life, there is a delicate balance to the 8th. It’s as simple as the black and white figures on a balance sheet – hit the fairway and you’re in the money, hit the rough and it will cost you dearly.
Fortunately, The Maslow has only benefits associated with it. Located in the heart of Sandton’s business district, you can find yourself in an environment that allows you to reach your full potential with all the facilities you need to Meet, Eat, Sleep and Relax.
This is where you should be. If you’re not on the 8th, of course.
