Music and comedy spectacular for 2013 Nedbank Golf Challengeon October 16, 2013
This year’s Nedbank Golf Challenge will feature an entertainment line-up just as strong as the world-class field of golfers that will thrill Sun City from 5-8 December, from legendary musicians Johnny Clegg and Kurt Darren to side-splitting comedians Chris Forrest and David Kau.
A collection of South Africa’s leading comedians and musicians will be on stage daily in the Hospitality Village as part of an unmatched golf and entertainment offering in the country at this time.
The daily line-up will feature a top South African comedian teaming up with a top musician from 16:15 to 19:00.
On Thursday 5 December, the incredibly versatile comedian Chris Forrest will tee off the entertainment, followed by a performance from the acclaimed all-girl group BlackByrd.
David Kau, South Africa’s first black stand-up comedian, and Denim, the stars of “Crazy Love” and several other hit singles, will take to the stage on Friday 6 December.
The weekend will feature two of the biggest stars in South African music. On Saturday 7 December, the legendary Johnny Clegg will take to the stage on the back of a performance by rising South African comedian Eugene Khoza.
And on Sunday 8 December, Kurt Darren will wrap up a memorable week after a performance featuring the sharp wit of pioneering black comedian Kagiso Lediga.
So as 30 of the world’s top golfers battle it out for glory on the fairways, eight of South Africa’s top entertainers will be there to help the fans celebrate at Sun City.
Tickets to the Nedbank Golf Challenge are available now through Computicket, and to ensure that nothing gets in the way of your fun, there will be a Park and Ride facility available daily from Waterfall Mall in Rustenburg, Alberton City Shopping Centre, Cedar Square, East Rand Mall, Emerald Casino, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre, Royal Elephant Hotel, Silverstar Casino, and Worldwear Shopping Centre.
