Golf fans have been taking full advantage of Sunbet, Sun International’s new sports betting brand, at this year’s Nedbank Golf Challenge.
Sunbet are the official bookmaker of the Nedbank Golf Challenge, offering three cash betting locations at Sun City during the tournament. These are at the betting tent behind the 18th hole, inside the MVG Platinum Tent, and outside the casino in the Main Hotel.
Punters can also sign up online at www.sunbet.co.za.
Most of the bets this week have gone the way of Charl Schwartzel, George Coetzee, Tim Clark and Lee Westwood to win the tournament.
But there was one lucky fan who walked off R25 000 richer thanks to his R1000 bet at odds of 25/1 on Luke Donald shooting the lowest round on Friday, which he did with his 63.
Donald has also been at the centre of the biggest swing in odds, going from 50/1 on Friday morning to 9/10 on Saturday morning.
It’s all made for a busy few days at the Sunbet stands.
“The past three days of betting have been very busy,” said Daniel Kustelski, the General Manager: Sports Betting Sunbet. “We also have a few fun bets for people, like the Worst Round of the Day. We take bets throughout the day as the players are playing.”
Sunbet offers fixed odds markets for up to 21 sports per week, and live betting trades on up to 60 live events per week. Sunbet also offers generous limits and has accepted single bets up to R1 million online.
